Recap: Tabb Tigers vs. New Kent Trojans
The Tabb Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. Their tough 72-46 defeat to New Kent might stick with them for a while. Tabb has struggled against New Kent recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Torrion Haywood, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Micah Marbra, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Tabb has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for New Kent, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tabb will square off against Grafton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Grafton's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Tabb has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. New Kent won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Charlottesville at 6:00 p.m. on January 20th.
