Roby is 0-10 against Hermleigh since April of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Lions will be playing at home against the Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. Roby is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.
Roby took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Snyder, sneaking past 8-6.

The team relied heavily on Calie Hernandez, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailyn Shipp, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2.
Meanwhile, Hermleigh had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it 15 on Friday. Everything went their way against the Chiefs as they made off with a 21-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Peyton Miller was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring five runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game.
In other batting news, Hailey Minton was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was J'Lynn Munoz, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Roby now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Hermleigh, their victory bumped their record up to 15-1.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Roby hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .449. However, it's not like Hermleigh struggles in that department as they've averaged .412. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Roby might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Hermleigh when the teams last played last Friday. Will the Lions have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
