It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Booneville had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Mooreville Troopers by a score of 17-7. The Blue Devils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Troopers, too.

Zion Nunn continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 120 yards and two touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Booneville, bringing their record for this year to 7-3. Those good results were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.6 points per game. As for Mooreville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Booneville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 22-0 loss against Rosa Fort on the 15th. Mooreville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
