Softball Recap: Tumwater Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

While Tumwater's victory against WF West wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Thunderbirds narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bearcats 2-0. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 14-3 win last Monday.

Tumwater's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Megan Barrett, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Erika Schock also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Tumwater is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for WF West, they moved to 11-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
