Volleyball Recap: Carrizo Springs Takes a Loss

If Carrizo Springs was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Pearsall on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Floresville Tigers/Jaguars on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Tigers/Jaguars: they've now lost eight in a row.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13, 25-10.

Giada Gonzalez paced Carrizo Springs' offense, picking up seven kills. Gonzalez got some help from Joselyn DeLuna and her three assists.

Carrizo Springs now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Floresville, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-13.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Carrizo Springs is set to face off against their familiar foe Uvalde at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Floresville will square off against rival Pleasanton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
