Grovetown kept a clean sheet against Newton on Tuesday. They blew past the Rams 8-0. The result was nothing new for Grovetown, who have now won five matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Newton from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Kaylee Elton led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The win made it two in a row for Grovetown and bumps their season record up to 10-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Newton, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Grovetown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newton, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 defeat against Heritage on the 3rd.
