Desert Edge extended the longest winning streak in III Section VII this week by beating Sierra Linda, 48-8. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.

Youngker lost to Buckeye 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Sam VerStraten made the biggest impact on defense this week as Shadow Ridge defeated Verrado. He forced 1 fumble, recorded 1 fumble and grabbed 1 sack.

Anthony Hernandez threw for 225 yards and 5 touchdowns. He went 15-22 with 0 interceptions.

Marquice Paige was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 209 yards as Agua Fria fell to the Stallions. Jordan Green also contributed to the rushing game with 24 yards on the ground.

Desert Edge's Hernandez and Elijah Marks led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-8 quarterback Hernandez has thrown for 2,649 yards this season, while Marks has 67 catches for 1,364 yards. Chris Salsberry from Shadow Ridge leads the league in rushing with 1,497 yards.

Two of the top teams in III Section VII will go toe-to-toe this week when Rich Wellbrock's team takes on the Hawks. The Scorpions' offense has racked up 384 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Buckeye has allowed only 139 on the year.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Bobby Barnes' team takes on Desert Edge. The Hawks are currently in third, while the Scorpions are in first.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Buckeye takes on Desert Edge. The Hawks have allowed 139 points this season, while the Scorpions have given up 144. Buckeye allowed 0 points last week as it beat the Roughriders.
