Basketball Game Preview: Creston Panthers vs. Earlham Cardinals

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Creston Panthers face off against the Earlham Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday... Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Creston will head into Monday's match after some sweet revenge against Clarke: Creston made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Clarke, but still couldn't quite topple them. Creston blew past Clarke 60-27 on Monday.

Meanwhile, Earlham entered their tilt with Interstate 35 on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Roadrunners 63-31. That 32 point margin sets a new team best for the Cardinals this season.

Creston's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Earlham, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Creston came out on top in a nail-biter against Earlham when the teams last played back in February of 2024, sneaking past 64-62. The rematch might be a little tougher for Creston since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
