Softball Recap: Whitefish Bay Takes a Loss

After flying high against Nicolet on Monday, Whitefish Bay came back down to earth. The Blue Dukes lost 11-1 to the West Bend West Spartans on Tuesday. The Blue Dukes have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Whitefish Bay saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jane Wallace, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Whitefish Bay's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for West Bend West, they pushed their record up to 7-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Whitefish Bay will welcome Hartford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Bend West, they will venture away from home to challenge Kettle Moraine Lutheran at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
