Basketball Recap: Andrews Takes a Loss

If Andrews was riding high fresh off their 57-34 takedown of Monahans last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Andrews Mustangs were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 52-51 to the Greenwood Rangers. The Mustangs have struggled against the Rangers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Andrews' defeat dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Greenwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-16 record this season.

Coming up, Andrews will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pecos at 7:30 p.m. As for Greenwood, they will venture away from home to square off against Seminole at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seminole will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Greenwood surely won't give up without a fight.
