Softball Recap: Carterville Lions vs. Carmi-White County Bulldogs

There's no place like home for Carterville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Carmi-White County Bulldogs on Tuesday as Carterville made off with an 11-5 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Masyn Kries looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Addyson Wright, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Kendall McCalla, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
