Softball Recap: Vincent Memorial Comes Up Short

Vincent Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Calipatria Hornets, falling 24-10. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Scots of the 17-13 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Vincent Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Calipatria, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-6.

Vincent Memorial will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mountain Empire at 2:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Calipatria, they will head out on the road to challenge Palo Verde Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
