Volleyball Recap: Notre Dame Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Notre Dame was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Xavier Prep Saints, falling 3-0. The Titans were not able to make up for their loss to the Saints from their previous meeting back in September of 2023.

Notre Dame took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-8, 25-17.

Xavier Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Annabel Frederick, who had 26 assists and 13 digs. Frederick is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season. Aubree Burrell was another key player, getting five digs and three aces.

Notre Dame's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Xavier Prep, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Coming up, Notre Dame will head out to face off against Palm Desert at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Xavier Prep, they will be playing at home against San Jacinto at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
