Basketball Recap: La'quinton Morgan and De'quayvian Lovette Secure Win for Burke County

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Burke County had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They secured a 74-69 W over the Hart County Bulldogs.

Leading Burke County to victory were De'Quayvian Lovette and La'Quinton Morgan. Lovette dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Morgan dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 assists. The dominant performance gave Lovette a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Kordell Williams, who posted eight points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Burke County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 16 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Burke County's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Hart County, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-10.

Burke County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-54 loss against Carver on the 22nd. Hart County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
