Baseball Recap: Los Altos Has No Trouble Against Gunn

Los Altos won the last time they faced Gunn and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eagles blew past the Titans 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Darrion Wesley made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Wesley was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

In other pitching news, Los Altos got a great performance from Sly Cash as he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

Back at the plate, Gavin Moore was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Quinn Chiochios was another key player, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Los Altos lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Los Altos and bumps their season record up to 10-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Gunn, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Los Altos beat the Titans by a score of 9-0 on Friday.
