On Friday, everything came up roses for Blum against Covington as the team secured a 52-6 victory. That looming 52-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bobcats yet this season.

Meanwhile, Avalon entered their game against Klondike on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles had to suffer through a 60-14 loss at the hands of the Cougars. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Blum's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Avalon, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Blum suffered a grim 57-36 defeat to Avalon when the teams last played back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Eagles' Josh Novak, who rushed for 181 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 29 yards and one TD.
