Basketball Recap: Hampton Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

Hampton saw some tournament action on Monday. They walked away with a 64-54 victory over Cristo Rey Atlanta. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Among those leading the charge was Alando Richards, who posted 20 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of C J Geiger, who earned 11 points.

Several Cristo Rey Atlanta players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayden Crawford, who went 8 for 18 en route to 28 points and seven rebounds. That was a full 51.9% of Cristo Rey Atlanta's points, marking the 11th time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Moore, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 15 points.

Hampton is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points per game.
