Volleyball Recap: Aaliyah Lederhaus' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tigerton over Marion

Tigerton had lost eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-3 to make it nine. They lost 3-0 to the Marion Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Thursday.

Tigerton's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaliyah Lederhaus, who had 23 digs and four assists. Another player making a difference was Presley Stewart-Rolfs, who had nine kills, six digs, two blocks, and two aces.

As for Marion, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2. That three set margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Marion found their leader in sophomore Madeline Wudstrack, who had nine digs and three aces.

Looking ahead, Tigerton will square off against White Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marion, they will challenge Stockbridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
