Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plaquemine). Everything went their way against the Family Christian Flames on Monday as the Plaquemine Green Devils made off with a 16-6 win. The Green Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by eight runs or more this season.

Plaquemine is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Family Christian and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plaquemine will host Ascension Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Family Christian, they will be playing at home against Tara at 3:35 p.m. on Thursday. Family Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11 runs per game this season.
