Volleyball Recap: Wiggins Tigers vs. Lyons Lions
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wiggins had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Lyons Lions out 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers who have now won five matchups in a row.
Wiggins was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-15, 21-25, 25-20, 15-13.
Karsyn Kerr paced Wiggins' offense, picking up 16 kills. Kerr got some help from
Kennedy Kerr and her 42 assists. Kennedy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Wiggins is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for Lyons, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-4.
