Baseball Recap: Arizona College Prep Has No Trouble Against Saguaro

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arizona College Prep). Everything went their way against the Saguaro Sabercats on Saturday as the Arizona College Prep Knights made off with a 22-1 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Ryan O'Donnal looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Jaden Guglielmo was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Austin Longfellow, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Arizona College Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .652. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Saguaro only posted an OBP of .381.

Arizona College Prep's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Saguaro, they now have a losing record of 1-2-1.

Coming up, Arizona College Prep will venture away from home to take on Vista Grande at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Vista Grande will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Saguaro, they will be playing at home against Flagstaff at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games Flagstaff has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
