Soccer Game Preview: Douglas vs. Arab

The Douglas Eagles will challenge the Arab Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Douglas took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Scottsboro a 2-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Eagles were the better team in the second half.

Anthony Cortez and Josue Juarez scored both of Douglas' goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, Arab had just enough and edged out Lee 1-0 on Monday.

The win got Douglas back to even at 1-1. As for Arab, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
