After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. John, Chalker was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Harding Skippers. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their one-run performance the game before.

Nick Karr looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Chalker got a massive performance out of Tegun Noble, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Noble is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Ryan Herdman, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The victory got Chalker back to even at 1-1. As for Harding, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chalker is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Lordstown at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Harding, they will square off against Andrews Osborne Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
