Softball Recap: Stockbridge Wins Going Away Against Lake City

While Stockbridge didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-4), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by a 24-11 margin over the Lake City Trojans on Saturday. Considering the Panthers have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Stockbridge and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.5 runs over those games. As for Lake City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Coming up, Stockbridge will take on Quincy at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake City, they will head out on the road to face off against McBain at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
