Volleyball Recap: Northridge Comes Up Short

Northridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Severance Silver Knights, falling 3-0. If the Grizzlies were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Silver Knights when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16, 25-9.

Northridge's offense was headlined by Myah Alvarez and Sophia Carbajal, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Dalanie Jones and her five assists. Ella Burkholder controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Northridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Severance, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Northridge will square off against Windsor Charter Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Severance, they will head out to square off against Greeley Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
