Softball Recap: Midland Rebels vs. Northwest Raiders

Midland can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They never let the Northwest Raiders onto the board and left with a 20-0 victory. The win was just what Midland needed coming off of a 14-3 loss in their prior game.

Audrey Borill and Myra Carlson did most of the damage at the plate: Borill scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Carlson scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Midland's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10. As for Northwest, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Midland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-0 loss vs. Bell City on the 1st. Northwest has also already played their next matchup, a 33-23 win against Peabody on the 1st.
