Crystal City had won three straight home games and Christopher Mena did his part to make it four on Monday. The Crystal City Javelinas really took it to the Dilley Wolves for the full four quarters, racking up a 93-44 victory thanks in part to Mena, who went 14 for 25 en route to 37 points along with six boards and five assists. His afternoon made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.
The team also got some help courtesy of Rick Rios, who posted ten points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.
Despite the loss, Dilley still got an impressive performance from Jacob Lopez, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. Jonathan Osio also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.
Crystal City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.6 points per game.
