The Linfield Christian Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Canyon Springs Cougars at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Linfield Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.

Canyon Springs will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Linfield Christian extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Lions put the hurt on Woodcrest Christian with a sharp 15-4 victory. Considering the Lions have won ten matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Alexa Ojeda tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Danica Perez and Chloe Hill did most of the damage at the plate: Perez scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Hill scored four runs while going 3-for-3. Perez continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Autumn Cabrera also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Canyon Springs got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They skirted past Heritage 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since February 25th.

Canyon Springs' victory was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Linfield Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.
