Softball Recap: Atchison Phoenix vs. Highland Park Scots
Atchison won the last time they faced Highland Park, and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Atchison Phoenix came out on top against the Highland Park Scots by a score of 12-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Atchison.
Presley Simpson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Emma Peek, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Atchison's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Highland Park, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9-1.
Atchison will head out on the road to square off against Perry-Lecompton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Atchison is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
