Basketball Game Preview: Quartz Hill Royals vs. Norte Vista Braves

The Quartz Hill Royals will face off against the Norte Vista Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Quartz Hill sitting on five straight victories and Norte Vista on 13.

Ty'Jahwuan Jackson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 20 rebounds. Jackson is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least 11 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Fabian Robles, who went 6-for-13 en route to 17 points.

Quartz Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Norte Vista didn't have too much trouble with Silverado on Friday as they won 66-51. Given the Braves' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Hawks are ranked 353rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Quartz Hill pushed their record up to 21-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points over those games. As for Norte Vista, their record is now 24-6.
