Volleyball Game Preview: Monte Vista Mustangs vs. Amador Valley Dons

The Monte Vista Mustangs will face off against the Amador Valley Dons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Amador Valley will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Monte Vista extended their winning streak to six on Thursday. Everything went the Mustangs' way against Granada as they made off with a 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-9, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Amador Valley got the win against Livermore on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

Amador Valley was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-12, 25-17.

Amador Valley's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Monte Vista, their win bumped their record up to 17-6.

Monte Vista came out on top in a nail-biter against Amador Valley in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Dons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
