Basketball Recap: Greater Cabarrus S Takes a Loss

Greater Cabarrus S played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars and fell 67-13. The defeat continues a trend for the Stallions in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost four in a row.

South Guilford HomeSchool's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kassidy Bullins led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Bullins has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kourtney Bullins, who posted 15 points in addition to four steals and four blocks.

Greater Cabarrus S's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 26-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
