Verrado waltzed into their game on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their defense stepped up to hand the La Joya Community Fighting Lobos a 3-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Vipers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Verrado has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven contests. As for La Joya Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8-2.

Verrado will head out on the road to challenge Canyon View at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for La Joya Community, they will venture away from home to square off against Kellis at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
