Basketball Recap: Gateway Charter Victorious + How To Watch

Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Gateway Charter Griffins beat the Wiregrass Ranch Bulls 82-76 on Tuesday.

Jeremiah Jean-Fort had a dynamite game, shooting 82% from the field on his way to 23 points. Another player making a difference was Jose Marquez, who posted 11 points and six assists.

Gateway Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 15 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Wiregrass Ranch lost, don't look at Ajayden Jenkins. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 30 points and ten boards. The game was Jenkins' fourth in a row with at least 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Williams, who put up 12 points.

Gateway Charter now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Wiregrass Ranch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Gateway Charter will take on Neumann at 7:30 p.m. on December 3. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they will square off against Land O' Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on December 3.
