Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Carter Craven and Shawn Hammerbeck Lead Winner to Victory

Winner won the last time they faced Chamberlain and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Winner Warriors took down the Chamberlain Cubs 46-28. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Cubs are ranked 64th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Winner to victory were Shawn Hammerbeck and Carter Craven. Hammerbeck went 6 of 10 on his way to 15 points in addition to eight boards and four steals, while Craven almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Craven has scored at least a third of Winner's points.
