Baseball Recap: Milton Comes Up Short

Milton's last matchup with Gulf Breeze could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Dolphins, falling 9-1. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Dolphins recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Milton's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-9. As for Gulf Breeze, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Milton will be playing at home against Harrison County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gulf Breeze, they are taking a road trip to face off against Niceville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Dolphins surely won't give up without a fight.
