It was a good run, but South Haven unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 44-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saugatuck Trailblazers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 58-46 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

South Haven's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2. As for Saugatuck, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

South Haven and Saugatuck should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. South Haven (ranked 151st) will meet Fennville (ranked 522nd) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Haven will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Similarly, Saugatuck will challenge Kellogg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 526 places (80 vs. 606).
