Baseball Recap: Hanover-Horton Comes Up Short

Hanover-Horton managed to slip by Columbia Central the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Comets came up short against the Golden Eagles on Friday, falling 12-2. The Comets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Jack Wooster made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The loss snapped Hanover-Horton's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 17-10 record. As for Columbia Central, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-2.

Looking ahead, Hanover-Horton will square off against Western at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia Central, they will take on Adrian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
