Baseball Recap: Redwood Gets the Win

Redwood lost to Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory back in March of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Giants walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Fightin' Irish. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Giants.

Redwood got a great performance from Grady Graziadei as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Theo Trono, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chase Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Redwood's win bumped their record up to 2-0-1. As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Redwood will take on San Rafael at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, they will face off against Lincoln at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
