Volleyball Recap: Amani Konye and Addison Kent Secure Win for Sparta

Sparta not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 15, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the La Crosse Logan Rangers. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Rangers: they've now won three in a row.

Sparta never let La Crosse Logan on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-23, 25-14.

Leading Sparta to victory were Addison Kent and Amani Konye. Kent had 17 digs and three aces, while Konye had 11 digs. Those three aces gave Kent a new career-high.

La Crosse Logan lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Alysha Hayes, who had 16 assists and nine digs. Norah Keller was another key player, getting 12 assists and two aces.

Sparta now has a winning record of 5-4.

Coincidentally, Sparta and La Crosse Logan will both be playing Aquinas the next time they take the court. The Rangers will head out to face the Blugolds at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Spartans will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
