Baseball Recap: Culver Academies Falls to Bremen in First Game of Season

Culver Academies unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bremen Lions on Thursday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Culver Academies got a good showing from Jak Chaney, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Culver Academies saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Foster Stockton, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Culver Academies will be playing in front of their home fans against New Prairie at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bremen, they will head out to square off against North Miami at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
