Basketball Recap: Brooklyn Academy of Global Finance Takes a Loss

Brooklyn Academy of Global Finance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 77-48 loss at the hands of Teachers Prep. While losing is never fun, Brooklyn Academy of Global Finance can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while Teachers Prep is ranked 103rd).

Brooklyn Academy of Global Finance's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Teachers Prep, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brooklyn Academy of Global Finance will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Maxwell Vo-Tech at 4:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Brooklyn Academy of Global Finance is facing Maxwell Vo-Tech at the right time seeing as Maxwell Vo-Tech is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Teachers Prep also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Classics at 4:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. One thing working in Classics' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
