Soccer Recap: Righetti Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Righetti can now relate to. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clovis North Broncos on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 189th, while the Broncos are ranked sixth).

Daniel Lagunas and Jose Ibarra scored both of Righetti's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Righetti and nudges their season record down to 16-6. As for Clovis North, they pushed their record up to 17-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Righetti does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clovis North, they will challenge McLane at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
