Basketball Recap: Mitchell County Takes a Loss

Mitchell County was the 61-45 winner over Central when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Mitchell County Eagles fell to the Central Chargers 52-48. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Mitchell County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Central, they moved to 5-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Mitchell County will venture away from home to face off against Miller County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Miller County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Mitchell County likes a good challenge. As for Central, they will square off against Jefferson County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Central is facing Jefferson County at the right time seeing as Jefferson County is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
