Soccer Game Preview: LBJ Austin vs. Austin Achieve

The LBJ Austin Jaguars will head out to square off against the Austin Achieve Polar Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. LBJ Austin's last seven matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

It was a proper cat-fight when LBJ Austin duked it out with Jarrell on Friday. LBJ Austin sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Jarrell.

Meanwhile, Austin Achieve entered their tilt with Burnet on Friday with 12 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 13. They never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Give the Polar Bears' defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Austin Achieve's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those six contests. As for LBJ Austin, their win bumped their record up to 5-8-4.

LBJ Austin couldn't quite get it done against Austin Achieve when the teams last played back in February as they fell 4-2. Can LBJ Austin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
