Palmyra-Eagle is a perfect 6-0 against Williams Bay since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Palmyra-Eagle was handed a 12-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over Shoreland Lutheran. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted against the Pacers since June 2, 2016.

Ryan Brodzik and Devin Patrick made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Brodzik tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Patrick pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. What's more, Brodzik posted three strikeouts, the most he's had over his last four matches. At the plate, Brodzik got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Patrick got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
In other batting news, Alex Harbison was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Dillen Patrick also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Williams Bay). They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over Faith Christian on Monday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with Faith Christian recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Like Palmyra-Eagle, Williams Bay also got a great game from a two-way player: BRADEN HAYES. He pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. HAYES was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on TEAGUE JOHNSON, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was ALEXANDER FULMER, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Palmyra-Eagle's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Williams Bay, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
Everything went Palmyra-Eagle's way against Williams Bay when the teams last played back in May of 2023, as Palmyra-Eagle made off with a 13-2 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
