Volleyball Recap: Moon Valley Takes a Loss

Moon Valley lost against Rio Rico back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rockets came up short against the Hawks, falling 3-0. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Moon Valley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20, 25-10.

Enedina Virgil Macey paced Moon Valley's offense, picking up seven kills. Virgil Macey got some help from Jah'Laya Rowe and her nine assists. Rowe was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Moon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Rio Rico, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-1.

Moon Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Shadow Mountain on the 18th. As for Rio Rico, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Sahuaro on the 17th.
