Basketball Game Preview: River Bluff Gators vs. Dorman Cavaliers

The River Bluff Gators will head out to face off against the Dorman Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

River Bluff is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They walked away with a 68-59 win over Mauldin.

Meanwhile, Dorman entered their tilt with J.L. Mann on Wednesday with ten consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 11. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 79-73 W against the Patriots. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Patriots are ranked 71st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

River Bluff has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points over those games. As for Dorman, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-4.
