Basketball Recap: Southland Wins Going Away Against Wabasha-Kellogg

Southland won the last time they faced Wabasha-Kellogg and things went their way on Thursday too. The Southland Rebels put the hurt on the Wabasha-Kellogg Falcons with a sharp 64-43 win. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Wabasha-Kellogg saw an underclassman step up: freshman Addisyn Quade went 5 of 10 en route to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Jessalyn Adams, who posted ten points.

Southland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

Southland has already played their next game (against Lanesboro), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wabasha-Kellogg will head out on the road to take on Grand Meadow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
