Dunham had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 49-48 win over the Lafayette Christian Academy Knights. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won ten contests in a row.

Jarvis Washington Jr continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, picking up 192 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards.

Lafayette Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braylon Walker, who rushed for 194 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, and also threw for 233 yards and two TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Caiden Bellard, who rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns.

Dunham's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-2.

Coming up, Dunham will square off against Calvary Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lafayette Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
